Who We Are
A workforce dedicated to expanding TOHO's global operations
Toho Global was established in July 2023 when TOHO spun off its International Business Department into its own company. What started as a team of just over a dozen members has since expanded into a vast organization of over 100 employees with subsidiaries on two continents. At TOHO Global, our focus is on building a worldwide fan base for TOHO's entertainment properties by clearly communicating the values and messages that are at their core. Thanks to strong corporate governance and region-focused management, our overseas subsidiaries are able to approach each market with flexibility and speed.
What We Do

Global distribution of movies and anime
We distribute audiovisual content in global markets so they can reach audiences around the world—particularly anime and live-action films, which have enormous fan bases even outside Japan. We also submit movies to international film festivals and participate in industry events and conventions, including as an exhibitor.

Marketing and licensing in global markets
We develop global branding strategies for TOHO's audiovisual content and entertainment properties, such as by planning and implementing PR and marketing campaigns. We also manage licensing for official merchandise developed for overseas markets.
